  • Consult and design

Having outgrown their existing space, our client appointed us to design their new workplace. The main focus of the design was to create a workspace designed in mind with our client’s expanding team. They required a futureproof design which encourages communication and collaboration between the departments.

  • Manage and build

The Buckley Building is situated in a fantastic part of the city, with brick walls and high ceilings. Our designers were thrilled to create an interior around these existing features. We designed an open plan office space, keeping the furniture fresh, with bold splashes of colour. Architecturally and mechanically, the Buckley Building is designed for an open plan environment. Creating cellular spaces posed challenges, particularly as it pertains to acoustics and air conditioning. We worked closely with both an Acoustic Design consultant and with our Mechanical Services team to ensure that these challenges were overcome to provide the client with an environment suitable for a dynamic, lively and growing company.

  • The new space

The final design consists of beautiful Bolon flooring laid throughout the space with special attention given to overcoming the air conditioning plant which is set below the floor.

The demise has very few blank walls, so in order to create walls that employees could write on, we installed floating glass panels between departments with writable vinyl applied to both sides. The project’s most remarkable feature is the biophilic design applied to the breakout space. High-back furniture allows the team to communicate without disturbing the open plan area.
