  • Consult and design

SSI’s move to Butler’s Wharf, a fashionable district of Central London, was prompted by the redevelopment of their building. Having recently acquired a new business, they had outgrown their existing space and were consequently in need of a new and bigger office. We conducted a detailed design development process with their appointed key decision-making team. This included a two stage presentation process and several design workshops to gain an insight into their vision and overall design requirements.

  • Manage and build

Being the flagship UK office, we needed to adhere to the company’s European and worldwide standards. It was important that the branding throughout the office consistently reflected their red and white corporate colours whilst complementing the overall design. Being an old warehouse with lots of columns, low solid ceilings and shallow floor voids, the infrastructure of the building posed various challenges for our team. However, with years of experience we were able to overcome these challenges through clever design and build techniques that worked to incorporate and complement these structural features.

  • The new space

We took into consideration the various shortcomings of the previous office when designing and fitting out their current workspace. This complete Cat B refurbishment included three meeting rooms, a breakout area, a large comms room, a teapoint, open plan desk areas, modified air conditioning and lighting, as well as new flooring and furniture. This was all successfully completed within a tight timescale and to budget.
