Oktra are proud to announce that we are finalists in the annual World Interior News (WIN) Awards with our workplace project for premium serviced office providers Fora at 22 Berners Street.
Supported by World Architecture News (WAN), the WIN Awards recognise the outstanding works of innovative, visionary and imaginative designers worldwide, and this year, it has expanded its categories to include studios, coworking and home offices in response to the evolving landscape of workspace design. In a transformational time for our industry, these awards spotlight the architects and interior designers pioneering forward-thinking design in the way they visualise and experience the built environment changes.
This year’s shortlist boasts an impressive selection of award-worthy projects who are pushing the boundaries of commercial design, and we are honoured to be featured among this diverse, global talent with our design for Fora.
Fora’s new workspace at 22 Berners Street challenges the expectations of what coworking and serviced offices can offer, by providing a premium hospitality-focused experience designed with productivity in mind. The space includes fully-equipped specialised facilities such as recording booths, a think-in lecture space, flexible open-plan desking areas, reading rooms and multiple collaboration spaces.
Designs for Fora’s spaces are informed by the history of each location: in this case, Berners Street’s industrial past is brought into the 21st century with a fusion of bold design surprises against a warehouse-style building fabric. This design represents the unique quality of a Fora coworking space, while still maintaining its own boutique and bespoke feel.
The awards will culminate in a virtual ceremony on 16th November where the winners will be announced in a celebration of the industry’s brightest, creative minds. We look forward to celebrating the international talent in our sector and offer our personal congratulations to our fellow finalists.
