Following the design and build of Grant Thornton’s Birmingham HQ, the international accountancy firm asked us to apply the same design principles to their Leicester office on a smaller scale. Their previous office in Leicester had become dated and no longer supported their staff’s needs. They needed to be able to collaborate more efficiently by having access to touchdown workspaces and settings for impromptu meetings.
As Grant Thornton have adopted a company-wide flexible working model, their workplaces needed to cater for greater agility and dynamic work practices. Building on our knowledge of Grant Thornton’s brand and workplace strategy, we shaped a design that intentionally brings people together, promotes transparency, and enables in-person and virtual collaboration.
Open plan desking is supplemented with phone booths, formal meeting rooms, soft seating, and high tables so the appropriate meeting solution is always easily accessible from the main workstations. Acoustic booths are equipped with power outlets and screens to enable staff to work or meet in a more relaxed environment. The teapoint also offers bar seating and a dining table to allow staff to break away and have lunch together in a tech-free space.
We have designed workplaces for leading accounting firms in office locations across the UK; unifying their national teams and delivering spaces that drive innovation and success. Get inspired and find out the benefits of upgrading your workspace here.
