After the merger of Powerscourt and Morrow Sodali, an opportunity emerged to unite their teams in one space as Sodali & Co. By building on the strengths of an existing fit out, we delivered a sustainable and cost-effective transformation, creating a workplace that feels as good as it functions. “The goal was to design an environment that not only supports their day-to-day operations but also energises and connects their teams,” explains Dominic Dugan, Oktra’s Creative Director.
By choosing a building aligned with Sodali & Co’s vision, sustainability became central to the project. Reusing 60% of the existing fit out and furniture allowed us to minimise waste and significantly lower the environmental impact. Thoughtful design choices—like warm finishes, natural woods, and sleek black detailing—reinforced our commitment to eco-friendly principles. The result is a workspace that combines sustainability with style, embodying a mindful approach to design.
Flexibility defines Sodali & Co’s design. The boardroom, equipped with sliding folding doors, transitions from a private meeting area to a venue for town halls and company-wide gatherings. To support focused work, dedicated meeting suites and private work areas provide employees with spaces for concentration when needed. “We wanted the space to adapt instantly to the pace of their business,” says Dugan. The central podcast room adds a dynamic touch, reflecting their forward-thinking approach to work.
Creating a striking first impression was key for Sodali & Co, with the arrival foyer designed to instantly reflect their brand. Visitors are greeted by a stunning white cube art gallery, and just a few steps away, a discreet teapoint combines functionality with elegance. Social areas were positioned to showcase breathtaking city views, providing staff with a refreshing space to relax.
The lounge area, designed as a relaxing retreat, showcases mid-century modern furniture. Thoughtfully chosen details like rich wood tones, soft carpeting, and a white-sprayed exposed ceiling create an inviting atmosphere that encourages collaboration beyond structured work zones.
Sodali & Co’s new office is more than just a workspace—it’s a foundation for their future. “Designing this space was about more than aesthetics,” says Dugan. “It was about creating an environment where people feel connected, empowered, and inspired to grow together.” With its blend of flexibility, sustainability, and thoughtful design, this workspace sets the stage for Sodali & Co to thrive as a unified team.
