Oktra Achieves The Planet Mark™ Acre of Rainforest Certificate

We are proud to announce we have been awarded with The Planet Mark™ Acre of Rainforest Certificate. This award reflects our commitment to building a sustainable future by protecting an acre of the world’s most endangered rainforest.

The Planet Mark™ is a certification programme recognising commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability. Achieving this accreditation further highlights our ongoing determination to reduce our social and environmental impact. The Planet Mark™ in partnership with Cool Earth are dedicated to protecting an Acre of Rainforest for every new Business Certificate it delivers.

The impact of protecting an acre of rainforest:

• 240 trees protected
• Thousands of species sheltered
• 76,000 litres of water produced
• 260 tonnes of CO2 stored

Cool Earth are an award-winning charity that works alongside indigenous villages to end rainforest destruction. Currently they are working with sixteen villages in Central Peru to protect millions of acres of neighbouring forest from loggers.

Oktra’s acre will go directly towards supporting the largest of those communities; the Asháninka, whose livelihoods depend on the Amazon rainforest.
