Oktra is currently on-site to deliver an extensive refurbishment at Mosaic East in partnership with Brunswick Property Partners’ Akoya venture. Oktra has been tasked with the refurbishment of the Core WCs and lift lobbies across both buildings and will deliver different floors in the property as either Cat A or Cat A+ space.
Located within Croydon’s central business district and close to East Croydon train station, BPP’s acquisition of Mosaic East (formerly Knollys and Stephenson House) is an opportunity to transform the building into a prime plug and play workspace to attract creative industries in the surrounding area. The larger of the two properties, Knollys, is set over 12 floors and Stephenson has 7 floors, with annexes in both properties.
With a focus on sustainability and wellbeing, the proposed works will upcycle and reuse existing building materials and maintain green design principles at the core of the scheme. The property has an EPC B Rating as well as Ska Gold, Air Score Gold and Wired Score Platinum certifications.
The two buildings have a combined 191,000 sq ft of lettable space. The renovation works will be delivered over multiple phases due to the scale and complexity of the scheme. Refurbishment works are scheduled for completion in 2024 and more updates will be made available throughout the duration of the project.
