Our new London office provides an inspiring, productive and animated workspace that reflects the Oktra brand and current health and safety precautions related to COVID-19.

The move to our Clerkenwell office has been much-anticipated and certainly needed, due to the fact that we’d outgrown our previous space. While the majority of our workforce continues to work from home, the London office is open and prepared for the gradual reintegration of our teams.

The health and safety of the new space depend upon a combination of changed behaviour and design. The COVID-19 pandemic has led us to rethink our relationship with the office and its role within normal business operations. The new office supports social distancing, one-way navigation and many other health and safety measures – all while remaining an enjoyable and inspiring place to be.

Our COVID response team lead Oktra through the initial pandemic-driven change, following a future-planning methodology that enabled us to remain fully flexible in both our day-to-day operation and the design and build of our new office. We conducted a series of surveys and exercises to understand how the new office needed to function within a COVID-19 context, including employee and stakeholder sentiment surveys, user journey mapping and space rationalisation exercises.

Our new workplace supports innovative ways of working and showcases the skill of our teams and contractors. This office was designed to celebrate all aspects of what we do, and it’s a space with the inherent flexibility needed to continue to inspire and adapt as government guidance evolves.
