Consult and design
In February 2014, Air New Zealand relocated to Hammersmith Grove and, following a competitive pitch process involving four contractors, we were selected to carry out the refurbishment of their new premises. Air New Zealand’s old offices were outdated, bland and inflexible and they wanted a more collaborative working space with multifunctional rooms and the capacity to accommodate future growth.
Manage and build
Working closely with Air New Zealand’s commercial agent, our team created a design plan that worked the space to its potential and encapsulated their need for multifunctionality. We created an open plan layout with multifunctional, client-facing meeting rooms that could be used for other events to achieve a versatile and collaborative working space.
The new space
Air New Zealand also wanted their specialism to be instantly recognisable on arrival. Our designer created a folding wall featuring porthole windows, an aircraft door and Air New Zealand graphics to replicate the exterior of an aeroplane. Placed just after the reception area, this ingenious feature leaves a remarkable impression on everyone who enters the Air New Zealand office.
