Oktra is pleased to announce that Genevieve Murray has been appointed Marketing Director for the business, signalling a new phase in the evolution of our marketing function.
Since joining the business in 2015, Genevieve has been an instrumental force in the growth of Oktra’s marketing strategy. With a background in business science and marketing, Gen has excelled from Marketing Assistant to Director in just 6 years, repeatedly proving her intuitive understanding of marketing’s role in business success.
“The experience I have gained working at Oktra has been huge,” she explains. “From understanding the intricacies of our industry and my involvement in a fully integrated brand refresh, to leading my team successfully through a pandemic and coming out stronger on the other side.”
As Marketing Director, Gen will be responsible for the continued growth of Oktra’s marketing capabilities – something that have played a key role in the business’s navigation of COVID-19. Her role will involve identifying new opportunities for marketing within Oktra, “strengthening the connection between marketing and other parts of the business, which will allow the marketing function to scale and have a larger impact. This will, in turn, bring in new business and allow us to share our knowledge with companies across sectors.”
Regarding the future of marketing at Oktra, Gen says she would “like marketing to be woven into the tapestry of the business and be instrumental in Oktra’s growth across London and the Regions.” Events will play a part in that growth as the business begins to run more of its own from our digitally-enabled London headquarters and showroom. Gen explains that “online events and knowledge sharing have seen a huge growth spurt during the pandemic and we would like to add value for our customers through more online events. Our goal is to continue sharing our knowledge and expertise to help businesses plan their return to the office, as well as understand what working model is right for their business and what that means for their office space.”
With a wider view of marketing and the business as a whole, Gen will lead the function in support of Oktra’s growth.
