This project had two phases: phase one focussed on infrastructural requirements while phase two saw the reconfiguration of the workspace, guided by the analysis of their current and desired ways of working. During phase one, we created a bespoke critical chill system – a 24hour chilled water system designed to continuously cool the client’s comms room – as well as installing a large Anord Mardix switchboard that provides the company with their own source of power and data protection.

In phase two, we worked closely with the client team and workplace consultancy experts Baker Stuart to conduct workspace analysis, focussing on how the client worked, how they used their space and identifying opportunities to better support the new ways of working they wanted to adopt. The refurbishment needed to incorporate contemporary workplace practices like hot desking and agile space, without radicalising their more traditional work environment.
