  • Levelling up the gaming workspace

Supermassive Games were previously in a serviced office space and were struggling with the lack of purpose-built facilities and collaborative workspace. As their team had grown, their office was no longer fit-for-purpose, and they weren’t able to bring people together to socialise and collaborate.

  • In pursuit of their upgraded workspace, we showed Supermassive the Cat A+ office space we delivered at 65 Woodbridge Road. The fully furnished ‘plug and play’ workspace met all of their needs and provided a neutral canvas for the game developers to brand and make their own. In addition to the Cat A+ space, Supermassive leased another one and a half floors in the building and asked us to apply the same design aesthetic throughout.

  • Premium amenities

Supermassive’s employees and visitors will benefit from the recently modernised reception with comfortable, domestic-inspired furniture, and an outdoor terrace which we installed during the landlord refurbishment of the building. The large teapoint breakout space can be used for team lunches and social events and connects directly the terrace.

  • Focus, collaborate, and socialise

Employees now have access to a variety of meeting areas and collaboration space, including one-to-one rooms, ‘Zoom rooms’, scrum spaces, and traditional meeting rooms. We installed fixed desks capable of hosting Supermassive’s tech requirements, and room to grow should they need to install more workstations. The combination of focus, collaborative, and social space will allow Supermassive to meet more efficiently and work more productively.

  • Meeting the game developer’s needs

During the design process, we identified areas where artwork from Supermassive’s games could be displayed; the neutral design provides the perfect backdrop that allows the artwork to shine. Purpose-built facilities meet the specialised needs of a game developer; a cinema room can be used to host the press and game reviewers before the release of a new game, and a sound-proofed audio room featuring a foley pit is used to create the sound effects for gameplay.
